Everyone has their favorite Halo 2 weapons, just like they had their favorite Halo weapons. But, since the release of the first Halo, the Halo 2 weapons have undergone a slight makeover. Halo 2 weapons are now slightly different, designed to give you a better experience while playing the game.

Halo 2 weapons have changed in a number of ways. For instance, the old assault rifle is now the SMG, while the pistol became the battle rifle. These weapons are used for varying purposes, which you will have to discover for yourself.

The changes were made to the Halo 2 weapons because the designers realized that some weapons were weak points of the game. By altering the weapons, they have made the game stronger overall.

Will the Halo 2 weapons still include your old favorites? Yes, all the other weapons are back once again. The plasma rifle, shotgun, and rocket launcher... they are all making a return, even though each is slightly modified. The changes may not be apparent to the user, as some weapons only underwent slight modification. These changes include the behavioral aspects of certain weapons and their ammunition.

Perhaps the best change to Halo 2 weapons is the new ability for the rocket launcher to "lock on" to targets. This will make it much easier to use a beefy rocket to take out a vehicle in the game. This one added feature alone puts the Halo 2 weapons on a pedestal high above the original Halo weapons.

If you played Halo, then you will love the new Halo 2 weapons. They are more powerful, have a better design, and act more realistically in the environment.
